AISI 52100 steel is representative of the high carbon chromium bearing steel type. Also known as ISO 100Cr6 steel, national standard GCr15 steel. AISI 52100 alloy steel has low alloy content and high hardenability. Wear resistance is better than national standard GCr9 steel. Its wear resistance and fatigue strength are high, and it has good comprehensive properties. And it also has excellent hot workability. Good workability after spheroidizing annealing, but flakes are easily obtained. AISI 52100 steel is mainly used in the manufacture of steel balls, bushings, traveling wheels, etc.
