Seamless aluminum pipe has better pressure bearing capacity than seamed aluminum pipe. The texture of the seamless tube is relatively uniform. The chemical composition of the welded pipe will be slightly scorched at the weld, so the mechanical properties are slightly worse but not much different. If used for pipe bending, seamless aluminum pipe is recommended. Welded pipes are prone to cracking. If the bend radius is larger, there is no problem. Seamless aluminum tubes are formed by perforation extrusion, while conventional aluminum tubes are generally formed by combined die extrusion. In production, the use of short rod, high temperature, slow extrusion process, especially the "three temperatures" must be well controlled.
In terms of mechanical properties, seamless aluminum tube products have uniform metal flow throughout, high dimensional accuracy, good fatigue resistance, consistent mechanical properties, and no layered structure. The metal flow of the seamed aluminum pipe product is not uniform, the mechanical properties are inconsistent, and the layered structure is prone to occur. On the whole, it is better to choose seamless aluminum tubes, but you also need to determine the choice according to your own situation.
